A Self Help Group is formed of some lady members of 12 families residing as neighbours at eh eastern side of Koonammavu Chitrpuzha Bridge in Kottuvally grama Panchayat and name it “Pavizham”.
An account has opened in the Co-Operative Bank, Valluvally in the name of the SHG on 10.7.2002. Ten members except the 2 others who withdrawn their self from the SHG, well co-ordinated the Unit and functioned well. In the weekly meeting they discussed seriously to find out job. Hence to increase own income.
After the first grading on 27.3.2003, Rs.25,000/- received as loan and subsidy. With this amount , supply of edible items, sale of packed dried prawns , sale of cloths, provision items etc. was conducting on. In the discussion to undertake more items to increase the income, suggestion was brought out to conduct a flour mill as there was no such things nearby. Application submitted in SCB.Kottuvally for loan, for thus consulting with concerned LVEO. On 19.4.2004, Rs.2,00,000/- was sanctioned and Rs.1,00,000 as loan and subsidy each. 1.5 cent land was purchased for this unit from a member of the unit and built a shed for the flour mill and erected necessary machines. Flouring of food grains of customers and door sale of the packets of the same is well going. At the same time sale of edible and other sub workers are also going well.
Loan is refunding without fall. The SHG members will become owners of the firm after completion of the remittance of loan amount.
